Lenovo has sent out press invites for an event to be held during the IFA 2014 trade fair.

The Chinese multinational tech company took to Twitter to announce its event scheduled for 4 September with a tweet that reads, "We can't say anything either. #VIBEX2."

Lenovo's invitation follows a pattern very similar to that of Apple's invite for an event which is on the 9th of the same month. Apple's invite does not reveal anything but says, "Wish we could say more."

Apart from the tagline, Lenovo's event does not reveal much. It just shows the name of its flagship smartphone, Vibe X2 scribed inside a lollipop.

The lollipop hints at the next Android version, which is commonly known as Android L or Android 5.0. This again leads to the conclusion that Lenovo's new device will be powered by Android L, says gdgtrena.

As for the other rumoured features, the Vibe X2 is likely to sport a 5in screen with resolution measuring 1080 x 1920 pixels. Besides, there will be a 13 megapixel rear camera and a five megapixel front camera.

The handset is said to be have two variants as far as the processor is concerned: the X2-CU will be powered by a MediaTek MT6596M octa-core processor and the second variant, X2-TO will use a 2.2GHz dual-core processor. It will pack a 2GB RAM, 16GB internal storage and will use a 2, 250mAh battery inside.
