Liam Payne blasts Justin Bieber on Twitter: One Direction star aims at Baby singer's arrest record

Liam Payne took a dig at Canadian singer Justin Bieber on Twitter.

The One Direction star's reaction came after a Bieber fan named Hailey, tweeted Payne about the Baby singer being popular than him.

"@Real_Liam_Payne Isnt it kinda depressing for you to know that Justin Bieber will always be more successful than you?" she wrote.

To which he replied: "@arianasmccann how many times have I been arrested."

The Twitter user posted a series of mean tweets, which Payne chose to ignore.

This comes after Payne received backlash from One Direction fans after he jokingly covered Zayn Malik's face from a tour poster.

Malik quit One Direction's On The Road Again tour due to "stress" following allegations that the What Makes You Beautiful singer cheated on his fiancée Perrie Edwards.

"Zayn can't cope with his private life being scrutinised to this level," a source told the Sun.

"He's worried if he'll ever be able to managed the constant attention like the rest of his bandmates," the insider added.

"Zayn finds it tougher than the rest of his band-mates dealing with fame.

"Having his every movement scrutinised causes great anxiety and the pictures which surfaced with the fan yesterday was the final straw. He did nothing wrong but the amount of criticism he received was simply too much. He needs to get away," the source continued.
