Samuel Eto'o scored a hat-trick, his first in English football. Javier Hernandez added a late goal but Nemanja Vidic's late red card compounds a dejected United performance. They lie 14 points off the race and their title is surely gone.

That's all we've got time for on this Sunday evening. Until next time, goodbye.

Full time: Chelsea 3-1 Manchester United

17:51: United lose their captain in the second minute of added time and it looks on the face of it to be a little harsh. Vidic takes out Hazard with a crude foul but Phil Dowd sees it nessasary to send off the Serbian defender.

Red card: Nemanja Vidic (Manchester United)

17:48: Another half chance for United as we enter the 90th minute. Smalling's backheader finds Hernandez, whose goalbound header doesn't have enough power to trouble Cech.

17:45: Nemanja Matic on for his Chelsea debut as the hosts look to further bolster their midield. United running out of time to stage a late comeback.

17:41: Bit of pressure from the visitors as they attempt to stage a late revival. Adnan Januzaj is finally fed on the left hand side, but his deflected cross goes straight into the arms of Petr Cech.

17:23: Chris Smalling and Javier Hernandez on for Manchester United but it's all Chelsea at the other end. Eden Hazard checks inside but his shot is deflected over the bar and United clear from the eventual corner.

17:08: Game over at the bridge. Gary Cahill climbs and heads goalwards from a corner, David de Gea saves but Samuel Eto'o reacts first and slams home to net his first hat-trick in English football.

16:50: Samuel Eto'o justifies his selection ahead of Fernando Torres with two first half goals to see Chelsea on the way to securing Jose Mourinho's 100th Premier League win as Blues boss. The first came via a deflection off Michael Carrick, the second from Eden Hazard's cross. The chasm between the two sides hasn't been as evident as some might have expected, but Mourinho's men have the upper hand, as is normally the way at Stamford Bridge.

Half time: Chelsea 2-0 Manchester United

16:47: Chelsea double their lead on the stroke of half-time. United clear a corner but when the ball comes back into the box from Ramires they're as sixes and sevens and Hazard's driven cross finds Eto'o, who steers home past De Gea.

Goal: Chelsea 2-0 Manchester United (Samuel Eto'o)

16:43: Chelsea will think they should be two-up. Hazard feeds Eto'o in the box and his delfected cross finds Oscar whose attempted acrobatic volley flies wildly wide.

16:42: The champions' build-up playu continues to hurt Chelsea but the final ball is still lacking and as Januzaj finds Evra in the area, his cut back can't find Welbeck on the penalty spot.

16:39: Real chance for United. Januzaj's cross doesn't look lie a threatening one but John Terry can't intercept and the ball finds Welbeck who left footed can only pass straight at Cech. Big opportunity.

16:32: David Luiz has been at the centre of everything at the bridge in the opening minutes and his error almost allows United to level. He seemingly takes the ball over Januzaj in the Chelsea boz, but allows the Belgian to wriggle away and cross but Antonio Valencia can't catch up with it.

16:29: United have gone off the boil somewhat since the goal but Patrice Evra breaks forward after Oscar's error but drives towards the near post but only finds the side netting.

16:24: Eden Hazard causing problems as Chelsea come into the game after taking the lead. He speeds past Rafael before crossing low, a ball which United clear. An indicatio as to the Belgian's intentions this afternoon.

16:22: The United bench are unhappy following a challenge from David Luiz on Adnan Januzaj. David Moyes thinks there was an arm involved and though Phil Dowd disagrees, the Brazilian receives a yellow card for his troubl.

16:19: A goal out of nothing against the run of play. Eto'o is fed by Willian on the right and after shimmying past Phil Jones curls towards the back post where via a deflection of Michael Carrick, the ball loops over David de Gea. A fortunate goal all-round.

Goal: Chelsea 1-0 Manchester United (Samuel Eto'o)

16:16: United have totally starved Chelsea of possession in this opening 15 minutes and Samuel Eto'o is a forlorn figure along inside the opposition half.

16:11: Chelsea break the United midfield for the first time this afternoon and it comes from Ramires, who drives in behind Carrick but his shot is weak and De Gea makes a simple save.

16:06: Two early corners for United the second of which from Januzaj just evades Vidic. Bright start from the champions.

16:00: Underway at Stamford Bridge.

15:57: Jose Mourinho is in pursuit of his 100th win in the Premier League against the team against whom it all started in 2004; Manchester united. Eidur Gudjohnsen's goal settled the game that day, but since their have been 21 goals in the last five meetings in all competitions between the two. Teams are out and we're ready to go!

15:31: Teams:

Chelsea: Cech, Ivanovic, Cahill, Terry, Azpilicueta, Ramires, Luiz, Willian, Oscar, Hazard, Eto'o. Subs: Cole, Lampard, Torres, Mata, Mikel, Matic, Schwarzer.

Manchester United: De Gea, Rafael Da Silva, Evans, Vidic, Evra, Jones, Carrick, Valencia, Januzaj, Young, Welbeck. Subs: Giggs, Smalling, Lindegaard, Hernandez, Cleverley, Fletcher, Kagawa.

So Branislav Ivanovic returns for Chelsea while Samuel Eto'o leads the attack for Jose Mourinho's side. United welcome back an injury victim of their own in Ashley Young while Adnan Januzaj will start behind Danny Welbeck.

15:27: Let's turn our attention to Stamford Bridge where Chelsea host Manchester United, among the stand out fixtures of any Premier League season. The Blues are chasing the title while United, 14 points off the pace at the start of play, are pursuing a top four place. Team news on the way.

15:24: Tottenham create history with their fifth successive win on the road. Emmaneul Adebayor goals either side of half time, sandwiching Chico Flores' own goal, did for Swansea, who responded through Wilfried Bony. It was too little, too late however and Tim Sherwood's side go level on points with fouth place Liverpool.

Full time: Swansea City 1-3 Tottenham Hotspur

15:20: No comeback from Swansea it seems asTottenham look to see out the remaining minutes. Five added on minutes.

15:09: A lifeline for Swansea? Wilfried Bony, who has easily been the Swans' best player, pounces first to side-foot home after Tottenham fail to clear.

Goal: Swansea City 1-3 Tottenham Hotspur (Wilfried Bony)

15:01: Game well and truely over at the Liberty as Spurs hit a third and edge closer to that record fifth away win. Where Demebele failed, Danny Rose succeeds the the full-back rampages forward and cross for Adebayor who is totally free and passes beyond Tremmel. Too easy for Spurs.

Goal: Swansea City 0-3 Tottenham Hotspur (Emmaneul Adebayor)

14:59: Tottenham should be home and dry. Mousa Dembele is put through and instead of passing square to Adebayor, he shoots himself but can't find the target. What a waste.

14:51: Hugo Lloris continues to win the battle with Wilfried Bony. The Ivorian hits from the edge of the box and again the Tottenham 'keeper is equal to it.

14:45: Even with over half an hour to go, you fear that might already be it for Swansea. Aaron Lennon gets to the byline and his cross is a tempted and Chico Flores duly obliges, turning the ball into his own net from six yards out. Awful start to the second half from the hosts.

Goal: Swansea City 0-2 Tottenham Hotspur (Chico Flores own goal)

14:34: Both teams out for the second half and we're underway.

14:17: Tottenham are 45 minutes away from a record fifth away league win after Emmanuel Adebayor gives them a half-time lead at Swansea City. The Togo forward headed home from Christian Eriksen's cross against the run of play after Wilfried Bony had hit the crossbar. The hosts have struggled since the goal after donminating the early moments.

Half time: Swansea City 0-1 Tottenham Hotspur

14:10: And Tottenham almost have a second. Swansea don't clear properly from a corner and and ball goes Adebayor's way and his half volley requires Tremmel to beat the ball away.

14:07: Spurs' first real forray into the Swansea penalty area produces the opening goal. Eriksen's cross from the right is a beauty towards the back post and Adebayor gets there first and head beyond Tremmel.

Goal: Swansea City 0-1 Tottenham Hotspur (Emmanuel Adebayor)

13:56: The hosts come within a whisker of taking the lead. Bony recieives the ball from Shelvey and unleashes a thunderous effort which crashes off the crossbar and away to safety.

13:51: Swansea certainly the more threatening of the two sides in the opening exchanges and again they look to test Lloris but this time Wilfried Bony's shot is off-target.

13:44: Tottenham have started slowly and Swansea almost catch them cold as Shelvey has a go from range again and this time Lloris is forced to beat the ball away. Good start from the hosts.

13:38: Early chance for Swansea. A nicely worked corner comes out to Jonjo Shelvy about 20 yards out by his strike towards goal is sliced and the ball goes harmlessly behind. Worth noting of course Swansea's difficult run in the league has co-insided with the loss of Michu among others. Pablo Hernandez, Michel Vorm and Nathan Dyer are among the other absentees.

13:30: Underway at the Liberty Stadium.

13:28: Both teams are out at the Liberty Stadium. Spurs are chasing a record fith away win in a row in the Premier League while Swansea are looking for their first win since the start of December. We're close to kick-off in south Wales.

13:05: Teams:

So just the one change from both sides with Chico Flores comes in for Jose Canas while Nacer Chadli replaces roberto Soldado as Tottenham look to pack the midfield.

13:00: The Premier serves up two more crackers on this Sunday afternoon. First, we're at the Liberty Stadium as Swansea City look to improve against top-four chasing Tottenham Hotspur. Then, we're at Stamford Bridge to see one of the stand out fixtures of any season, when Chelsea host Manchester United. It promises to be a cracking afternoon.
