21:57: So Chelsea miss the chance to go four points clear at the top of the Premier League after being held by West Brom. West Ham ease their relegation fears after overcoming Norwich City but Cardiff remain in the bottom three after only drawing with Aston Villa. The other Premier League game saw Southampton edged Steve Bruce's Hull City.

Elsewhere, Real Madrid are into the Copa del Rey final after overcoming local rivals Atletico Madrid 5-0 on aggregate.

That's all we've got time for this evening. There are six games on Wednesday including a feast at the Emirates where Arsenal host Manchester United. Until then, goodbye.

Full time: West Bromwich Albion 1-1 Chelsea

21:51: Six added minutes at The Hawthorns.

21:51: Chance to win it for West Brom. Chris Brunt is teed up outside the penalty area but he scoops the ball over.

21:49: A bolt from the blue against The Blues. A cross from the right finds Victor Anichebe who flicks home unmarked from eight yards. A deserved equaliser for West Brom.

Goal: West Bromwich Albion 1-1 Chelsea (Victor Anichebe)

21:43: Meanwhile, Chelsea are under real pressure from West Brom as the game enters the final 10 minutes and the hosts could have had a penalty when David Luiz pulled Victor Anecebe's shirt.

Full time: West Ham United 2-0 Norwich City

Full time: Cardiff City 0-0 Aston Villa

21:38: The Hammers seal it in stoppage time as with Norwich having pilled players forward, Diame breaks all alone, and his deflected effort goes beyond Ruddy.

Goal: West Ham United 2-0 Norwich City (Mohamed Diame)

21:34: What a save from David Marshall. Benteke cross for Wiemann who diverts the ball goalwards and the Cardiff stopper make a remarkable save to turn the ball not out away from goal but over the bar to safety.

21:31: Fernando Torres returns for Chelsea. Not mcuh else to return from the Hawthorns though. The hosts are toiling and really lacking the quality required to get an equaliser.

21:28: Diame's cross from the right is a good one and James Collins meets it and heads beyond a hapless John Ruddy. The points are going the way of the Hammers.

Goal: West Ham United 1-0 Norwich City (James Collins)

21:19: Marshall keeps out Delph from range. Villa getting closer at Cardiff. fancy they'll only need one goal there. Foster saves from range from Willian. The evening is threatening to spring into life.

21:17: Goalmouth scramble att he KC Stadium and Southampton benefit as Fonte tucks home from the fourth effort in succession.

Goal: Hull City 0-1 Southampton (Jose Fonte)

21:12: Chance for Chelsea. Samuel Eto'o is put through by Willian but Ben Foster makes a smart stop at his near post. Cardiff almost storm ahead too, but Frazier Campbell is denied from a tight angle.

21:08: Anyone got any holiday plans? Honestly this is dire.

21:06: So we're now into the second half in each of our
featured games this evening. Goals, please.

20:49: Time to rejoice as we have our first goal in the Premier League tonight. A Chelsea corner is flicked on by David Luiz and Branislav Ivanvovic slams home from six yards at the back post. Very easy.

Goal: West Bromwich Albion 0-1 Chelsea (Branislav Ivanovic)

20:43: A rare chance at the Hawthorns. A Chelsea free-kick wide on the left is headed out and Willian controls the ball on his knee, before volleying over the crossbar. It's not been much better than that.

20:35: Half time in Cardiff and east London but they continue to play at Hull after a first half injury to Paul McShane after a collision with his own goalkeeper Allan McGregor. I know I promised drama, but we've had anything but.

20:29: Chance at the Hawthorns. Sessegnon heads the ball back and after Thievy passes up the chance to shoot, he tees up Chris Brunt who flashes wide.

20:24: Chelsea very close to going ahead. Willian puts Samuel Eto'o away and the Cameroonian gets to the byline, pulls the ball back but Yacob clears before Hazard can turn home. Some brilliant work in there from Gareth McAuley also.

20:21: Ball in the net at the Cardiff City Stadium and it's the home side who are disappointed. A Bluebirds corner is flicked on and it finds Wilfried Zaha who turns and smashes home, but the England international was coming back from an offside position. Right call from the officials.

20:18: This is threatening to become messy for Atletico. Insua trips Bale in the box and Madrid have a second penalty and Ronaldo steps up and duly converts.

Penalty to Real Madrid

20:13: Good chance to watch Eden Hazard tonight after Jose Mourinho labelled him as the world's best young player. The Belgian has been quiet thus far and has just conceded a throw in in the West Brom half. tight start at the Hawthorns.

20:09: Inside 10 minutes, Real Madrid put the tie out of sight. Ronaldo wins a penalty after contact between the Ballon d'Or winner and Manquillo and the Portuguese international steps up and slams home. Huge task for Atletico now.

Goal: Atletico Madrid (0) 0-1 (4) Real Madrid (Cristiano Ronaldo)

Penalty to Real Madrid

20:06: Cardiff want a penalty as Kenwyne Jones is pulled back in the box but referee but Chris Foy waves away the appeals.

20:00: Cardiff almost ahead if bizarre circumstances. Craig Noone comes in off the right and shoots goalwards. The effort tackes a wicked deflection and goes and strikes the crossbar with Brad Guzan beaten.

19:56: You would think it is game over in the Madrid derby semi-final in the Copa del Rey. Real have a three-goal lead from the first leg after Pepe, Jese and Di Maria helped Carlo Ancelotti's side put one foot in the final.

19:50: So we're underway in our three 7:45pm kick-offs. Our primary focus will be on Cardiff v Aston Villa until West Brom kick off against Chelsea.

19:45: Ok so we're almost ready to go across the country. This might not be the main course ahead of tomorrow's mouth-watering clash at the Emirates but it's a nice starter. I guarentee drama.

19:34: It's a big night at the bottom of the league as well, with West Ham United and Norwich, both hovering above the drop zone, facing off at Upton Park. Cardiff City host Aston Villa with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer looking to bounce back after defeat to Swansea City.

19:26: So despite Jose Mourinho playing down Chelsea's title chances, the Blues are now top of the Premier League table and could go four points clear before Arsenal and Manchester city play on Wednesday. West Brom haven't won in the Premier League since New Year's Day and have slipped into the bottom three. They could be put to the sword tonight.

19:11: As for the Madrid derby, Real start with both Gareth Bale and Cristiano Ronaldo while Atletico, as expected, are without Diego Costa.

19:08: Teams:

Cardiff City: Marshall, T-Catherine, Caulker, Turner, John, Zaha, Mutch, Medel, Noone, Campbell, Jones.

Four games, including the leaders Chelsea while it's 15th v 16th as Norwich City travel to West Ham United. A bit of Copa del Rey action thrown in as well. Simple, isn't it?
