Liverpool may have to head into the Premier League game against Aston Villa on Saturday without England internationals Jordan Henderson and Daniel Sturridge after the midfielder was force to limp out of the England training session on Sunday due to an ankle injury while the striker damaged a thigh on Friday.

The midfielder appeared to turn his ankle during the training session at St Jakob-Park and, according to reports, is expected to be assessed on Monday morning prior to a fitness test before Monday night's game against Switzerland.

The Football Association is yet to comment on Henderson's injury but several reports confirmed he is a doubt for the England Euro 2016 qualifier as well as Liverpool's Premier League game against Aston Villa on Saturday.

England manager Roy Hodgson may opt to use Manchester City's James Milner or Aston Villa's Fabian Delph to fill in should Henderson fail this morning fitness test.

Meanwhile, new Arsenal signing Danny Welbeck is expected to replace Sturridge up front.

The Liverpool Echo reports Sturridge is almost certainly out Liverpool's game against unbeaten Aston Villa on Saturday and may be side-lined for the Champions League game with Ludogorets three days later.
