Watford have completed the signing of Liverpool starlet Jerome Sinclair. Sinclair, 19, has signed a four-year contract with the Hornets and will officially join the club on 1 July when his contract at Anfield expires.

Watford and Liverpool are yet to confirm the move, but Sinclair's management company Colossal Sports Management have revealed the contract has been signed via their Instagram page.

"Proud to announce a brand new beginning for this young man," a message from CSM read. "His aim is to try and achieve greatness and bring joy to the #watfordfc fans and take the club as high as possible. God luck on your new journey Jerome."

Because the player is under the age of 24, he is not eligible for a free transfer. Liverpool will receive a compensation fee via a tribunal hearing.

Sinclair has long expressed his desire to leave Merseyside in search of greater first-team opportunities, having failed to break into the Liverpool first-team under Jürgen Klopp and his predecessor Brendan Rodgers.

Watford tried to sign Sinclair during the January transfer window but were put off by Liverpool's asking price, reported to have been £3m ($4.35m).

Sinclair, who became Liverpool's youngest ever player when he made his debut against West Brom in 2012 at just 16, will be the second highly-rated youngster to leave the club this summer.

Jordan Rossiter, 19, has signed an agreement to join Rangers, as confirmed by the Ibrox club in May. The England youth international featured in Klopp's first game in charge against Sion in the Europa League in October, but a string of hamstring problems derailed his progress.

Rossiter, who joined Liverpool as a six-year-old, was released from his contract a month early, allowing him to complete his move north of the border.

Attacking midfielder Daniel Trickett-Smith, 20, has also left the club this month, signing a deal with Sacramento Republic FC in the US.

While two players are leaving Liverpool, the club have already confirmed the arrival of another, with Joel Matip set to arrive in July on a free transfer.
