Liverpool left-back Jose Enrique looks ready to return to action alongside Daniel Sturridge for the clash with Crystal Palace on 23 November – just after the international break.

Meanwhile, Suso is continuing his recovery from groin injury surgery he had earlier on October.

Enrique was sidelined during much of the last campaign due to a serious knee injury in November and, after missing the last three Premier League games, there were some concerns about a new set-back in his knee.

But Enrique himself has played down the worries through his Twitter account, revealing that he has taken part in a behind-closed-doors game at Melwood – suggesting he will be ready to return to action after the international break.

"Happy to play 45 min in a close door game today at Melwood. Feeling great and my knee feeling perfect. Thanks a lot for the support," the left-back said.

The good news for Rodgers come just one day after Sturridge confirmed he had also returned to first-team training.

The England international striker has not played for the club since the end of August, missing Liverpool's last 14 games due to injuries.

However as Rodgers has previously suggested it appears he will be able to help his side in the next game against the South London side.

Meanwhile Suso has posted a picture on Instragram while working with the physios ahead of his recovery and is expected to be ready to return to action next month.

Suso's future at the club is still undecided and his contract at Anfield is set to expire next summer. He may consider leaving the club in the January transfer window with Milan said to be closely monitoring the situation.
