Where to Watch Live
Kick-off is set for 4 pm GMT, with ESPN UK and ESPN UK HD providing live coverage. The highlights will be iTV 1 and iTV 1 HD at 10.45 pm GMT.
Mansfield Town are ninth in the English Conference, making this tie a genuine David v Goliath clash. However, the Stags are in good form and have lost only twice in the last 14 matches in all competitions. Manager Paul Cox's side will have their task cut out against the Anfield club but this is the FA Cup and if Bradford City could knock Arsenal out of the Capital One Cup, Mansfield will fancy their chances against Brendan Rodgers and Liverpool.
Liverpool, meanwhile, have won six of the last eight games in all competitions, including two on the trot in the Premier League. The Reds started the season poorly and have been inconsistent for large periods but back-to-back 3-0 wins over QPR and Sunderland will please Rodgers and the fans.
Uruguay striker Luis Suarez has returned from his suspension and picked up where he left off and and now has 15 goals in 20 league appearances. And with the signing of 23-year-old Daniel Sturridge from Chelsea having been completed, Rodgers is on his way to providing cover and competition for the South American that could force the formre Ajax man to raise his game even further. Either way, Mansfield defenders are in for a very long evening, particularly if Liverpool and Suarez can get off to a strong start.
Liverpool are eighth in the league, with 31 points from 21 games. The Merseyside outfit had reached the final of this competition last season, defeating Manchester United and derby rivals Everton on the way. They will be looking to go one better this year.
