Liverpool are considering a move in signing Lille forward Divock Origi this summer, according to The Times.

The 19-year-old scored five goals from 30 league appearances for the Ligue 1 outfit, out of which he has made only 12 starts. Despite that, Origi has been picked up for the Belgium squad for the World Cup in Brazil and he scored for his national side during their 1-0 victory over Russia.

Origi's form has attracted interest from Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur are keen on securing the Belgium international's services. The report claims Liverpool are set to beat both north London clubs as they are closing in on signing the forward this summer.

The Merseyside club have already sealed a deal for Rickie Lambert and Emre Can and according to The Times, Origi will be Liverpool's third signing of the summer transfer window.

The former Swansea manager eyes the Belgium forward as the signing for the future. After completing a deal for Origi, Rodgers will allow the player to return to Lille for a season-long loan next season.

Liverpool star Luis Suarez's future at Anfield remains uncertain as the Uruguayan international has strongly been linked with a move to Barcelona this summer. In addition to this, the striker's father-in-law has also urged the former Ajax man to leave England and sign for a Spanish club.

Liverpool are still interested in landing Origi, irrespective of whether Suarez stays at Anfield or not. Meanwhile, the Lille teenager has revealed that he always dreamt of playing in the Premier League since he was a little boy.

"As a little boy I always dreamed of playing in the Premier League but I'm still young and now I'm in an important tournament so I'm try to focus on the team. Then my entourage will see with [Lille] what I'll do," Origi explained.

Should Liverpool manage to seal a deal for Origi, it will be a blow for both Arsenal and Tottenham, who were interested in signing the Belgium forward this summer.
