Inter Milan forward Mauro Zarate could be on Kenny Dalglish's radar.

According to a National report, Liverpool are keen on loaning Zarate as a short-term cover for Luis Suarez who is undergoing an eight-match ban over a racism row. But if the deal is to materialise, Zarate has to be released back to Lazio, the Italian club who own his transfer rights.

The 24-year-old was loaned by Lazio to Inter for €3 million.

Meanwhile, the Liverpool Daily Post has reported that the Reds have joined the race to grab the young Birmingham City winger Nathan Redmond. Manchester City are also bidding to grab Redmond, 17.

Liverpool's another possible target is Spartak Moscow striker Welliton, the Post report has added. Brazilian Welliton, 25, who is estimated at £7 million, is also there in the scheme of Arsene Wenger's Arsenal.
