Juventus are set to move for Liverpool forward Luis Suarez, with the Italians reportedly preparing a £26m summer bid for their long-time target. However, the Serie A Champions will face fierce competition from the likes of Manchester City and Bayern Munich, who have been heavily linked with the striker since January.

According to the Daily Mail, Juventus manager Antonio Conte has earmarked the Uruguayan as the perfect strike partner for Fernando Llorente, who will join the club on a free transfer from Atletico Madrid in the summer. Martin Caceres, Suarez's international team-mate, who plays as a defender for Juventus, had revealed in an interview last year that Suarez likes what he knows of the Italian club and would not grudge a move, if given an opportunity.

"He's happy in Liverpool, but he liked what I told him about Juve. After all, who wouldn't want to play for such an ambitious club? Let me put it this way, I would be happy to share a room with him at Juventus too," Cacares had said.

Suarez had recently fuelled speculation over a move to Bayern, by stating that he would listen if the Bundesliga leaders make an offer. Former Barcelona manager, Pep Guardiola is set to take charge at Bayern at the end of the season and the Spaniard has reportedly made the Uruguay international his top priority for the summer.

The 26-year-old has been in prolific form this season, scoring 22 goals in 29 starts for Liverpool and is currently the top scorer in the league, three ahead of Robin van Persie. Suarez has also been in good touch for his country in the World Cup qualifiers, scoring seven goals and assisting one in eight games.

The former Ajax man's future is expected to hinge on Liverpool's ability to qualify for the Champions League next season, with the club currently seventh in the league table, nine points behind fourth-placed Tottenham. However, should Brendan Rodgers fail to keep the player at Liverpool, he is expected to step up his interest in Barcelona forward Alexis Sanchez, who has been linked with a move away from Camp Nou in the summer.
