Liverpool are considering a move for Vitesse Arnhem striker Wilfried Bony at the end of the season, according to the reports. Meanwhile, talkSPORT claims West Ham United are also interested in his services.

The 24-year-old has earlier expressed his desire to leave his current employers, with a move to England still being on his cards. The Ivory Coast forward has been attracting interest from the East as CSKA Moscow, Anzhi Makhachkala and Zenit St Petersburg were reportedly interested in signing Bony.

However, the forward failed to move to Russia before the end of the transfer window after the Dutch club's sporting director Erwin Kasakowski revealed there were no concrete offers.

"No club in Russia came to us with an offer, so Wilfried will finish the season at Vitesse," Vitesse sporting director said.

Kasakowski's latest remarks will be a major boost for Liverpool in bringing the forward to Anfield. The Reds have Andy Carroll, who is currently on loan at West Ham, and should the England international seal a permanent move with the Hammers, it wil help Brendan Rodgers land Bony at the end of the season.

The Ivory Coast international's agent has already claimed to have contact from Liverpool for the services of the free-scoring striker. Bony is in impressive form for Vitesse, as he is currently the top scorer in the Dutch league with 22 goals, which has now seen his side secure fourth position in Eredivisie table.

Meanwhile, Lucas Leiva feels his Liverpool team-mate Luis Suarez should get this season's PFA Players' Player of the Year Award. The Uruguayan international has been in spectacular form for the Reds scoring 18 goals in the league this season. However, the Brazilian believes the Kop striker will have some tough competition from Manchester United's Robin van Persie and Tottenham Hotpsur's Gareth Bale.

"Luis will certainly be challenging for that award. I just hope he wins because I think he deserves it after everything he has done this season. I think it's going to be between Luis, Van Persie and Bale. All three have performed really well and have scored a lot of goals," Lucas explained.
