Liverpool are apparently interested in a summer move for £5.5m-rated Pablo Armero, according to a Daily Mail report. Armero, a versatile wing back, plays for Italian outfit Udinese.

The Colombian primarily plays as a left back for both club and country although his ability to deliver accurate crosses has seen him pushed further up field on occasion, in a more attacking role.

The player's representatives were apparently at Loftus Road, during Liverpool's midweek defeat to QPR, to hold talks with Anfield officials.

It is believed the Reds' manager, Kenny Dalglish, is eager to sign a left back as cover for first-choice Jose Enrique. Indeed, he has been forced to play right back Glen Johnson out of position often this season.

Armero, who has been on Liverpool's wanted list for almost a year now, joined Udinese from Palmeiras in 2012. It is believed the 25-year-old is keen on a move to the Premier League.
