Liverpool will look to build on an encouraging recent run of results when they welcome Norwich City to Anfield in Saturday's late kick-off.

Kenny Dalglish's side are resembling a top-four team more and more with each passing week. Last week's draw against Manchester United prevented the Reds from recording their fourth win in a row and they have recovered well after losing consecutive matches against Stoke and Tottenham in September.

However, they will face a resurgent Norwich side who have bounced back from a poor start to the campaign to re-establish themselves in mid-table.

The Canaries have won three of their past four games including a 3-1 victory over fellow new-boys Swansea last weekend.

Paul Lambert will relish the opportunity to test his side at Anfield, after running both Chelsea and Manchester United close earlier in the season.

Team news

Midfielder Lucas Leiva serves a one-match ban after the Brazilian picked up his fifth booking of the season last weekend. Jordan Henderson is expected to replace Lucas in midfield after starting the last two matches from the bench.

Kenny Dalglish welcomes back defenders Daniel Agger (rib) and Glen Johnson (hamstring) after the duo played in the midweek friendly defeat to Rangers.

Lambert has no fresh injury concerns ahead of the trip to Anfield but he is still without long-term absentees Zak Whitebread (hamstring), Daniel Ayala (knee) and Elliot Ward (knee).

Liverpool possible XI: Reina; Kelly, Carragher, Skrtel, Enrique; Henderson, Gerrard, Adam, Downing; Suarez, Carroll.

Norwich probable XI: Ruddy; Naughton, Martin, Barnett, Tierney, Bennett; Hoolahan, Fox, Pilkington, Morison; Johnson.
