Pop matriarch Madonna is in tentative talks to begin a TV series about her own life, according to the Sun. The 57-year-old pop legend has been offered her own programme by production company Bunim Murray – the same company behind Keeping up with the Kardashians.

Madonna is said to be impressed with how well Kim Kardashian West and Kanye West have done on the small screen. "She is friends with Kim Kardashian through Kanye West and Madonna has noticed how Kim and her family have made reality TV very cool and current – it's not just for Z-listers anymore," a Hollywood insider told the Sun.

Madge is enthusiastic about the idea of her own show with the production company. "Bunim Murray have proven with Caitlyn Jenners' show I Am Cait that they can tackle sensitive topics and not just make trash TV."

"Nobody would ever have expected a star as huge as Madonna to ever star in a reality show. But it just shows how much times are changing," the source says.

The star has been an avid over-sharer of her personal life and is active on social media, posting photos of herself on Instagram celebrating her 57th birthday at cabaret-style M bar in Hollywood with her daughter, Lourdes, and captioned the snap: 'Birthday Fun with Princess #1.'

If plans for a new TV show go ahead, it is expected that her children Lourdes, Rocco, David and Mercy will feature, along with the star's love interests.

Madge has not yet made a decision but loves opening up her personal life to her fans. The Material Girl has past experience in her own documentaries In Bed with Madonna in 1991 and I'm Going to Tell You A Secret in 2005, and has previously appeared in films with exes Guy Ritchie and Warren Beatty.
