A man has died after being stabbed near a west London tube station in the rush hour. Police have launched a murder investigation after the 18-year-old was taken to hospital after the attack and died of his wounds. The man was attacked in High Road in Ickenham, West Ruislip, shortly after 5.30pm on Monday 9 November, the Metropolitan Police said in a statement.

A man in his 20s has been arrested and is being questioned at a west London police station. The force said that the victim has not yet been formally identified, but his next of kin have been informed.

High Road will remain closed in both directions between West Ruislip tube station and Aylsham Drive until at least midday on Tuesday 10 November, police said.
