A man has been jailed for six months after police found over a kilogram of cannabis at his Tipton home.

Darren Hadlington, 36, appeared at Wolverhampton Crown Court and pleaded guilty to possession with intent to supply a Class B drug.

"We are always gathering intelligence about drug dealing and acting on that information to arrest suspects. However, by working closely with the local community we are able to put people before the courts and remove dangerous substances from the streets," said Tipton Police Station Inspector David Godwin, in a statement.

Darren was arrested after officers executed a search warrant on East Road, Tipton on February 18. They found cannabis, which has an estimated street value of around £12,000, disguised as a bag of dog food.
