Manchester United manager David Moyes is willing to sign Barcelona star Pedro Rodriguez this summer to forge an amazing attacking duo with January signing Juan Mata, reports in Spain claim.

The Barcelona star has scored 12 goals in 22 La Liga appearances this season, but after Neymar's arrival at the Nou Camp and with the Catalans keen on adding another striker next summer, some reports in Spain suggest that he may consider to move away.

According to Spanish newspaper AS, United have been monitoring the player in recent months as Moyes is keen on making a bid in the summer to secure the Spanish international's services.

United are planning to make a huge investment at the end of the season to avoid another season of strife, and some reports claim Moyes is keen on signing at least one left-back, a centre-back, a midfielder, a striker and a top winger. In the final category, Pedro is on a short-list that also includes Borussia Dortmund's Marco Reus and La Liga sensation Antoine Griezmann.

Pedro has been a key player in Barcelona's recent success, both under Pep Guardiola and Tito Vilanova, but at the start of this season he struggled to get a place in the team as Gerardo Martino opted for Leo Messi, Neymar and Alexis or Cesc Fabregas ahead of him.

However, recently he has taken advantage of Neymar's and Messi's injuries to become a key player for Barcelona once more, and after scoring an amazing hat-trick against Getafe last December he has started the following six La Liga games.

Barcelona are not considering selling Pedro, but if they fail to win a title this season the club will mount a huge clear-out. With Messi and Neymar immovable up front, they may consider selling Pedro for a substantial amount of money.

The Barcelona star was linked to Arsenal and Manchester City last summer, and reports in Spain claim that if he is forced to leave Barcelona he would like to play in the Premier League.
