Manchester United have expressed an interest in Juventus winger Milos Krasic, according to the player's agent.

The Serbia international has been linked with Old Trafford for the past two seasons but his agent Dejan Joksimovic stressed that official talks between the two sides had not taken place.

"Manchester United have been interested in Krasic for two years," Joksimovic is quoted in the Daily Mail. "They like the player but no negotiations have taken place.

"Every day Krasic is rumoured to be departing Juventus but, currently, there are no signs of this happening."

The Serbia forward hit seven goals in 33 league appearances last season as Juventus finished a disappointing seventh in Serie A.

Meanwhile, United scouts are monitoring Arsenal target Riccardo Montolivo, according to reports in Italy.

The Italian midfielder has stalled on contract negotiations with Fiorentina and is now likely to leave La Viola in January before his current deal expires next summer.

Reports today suggest Sir Alex Ferguson dispatched scouts to watch Montolivo star in Italy's 3-0 demolition of Northern Ireland Tuesday.

Ferguson has reportedly identified Montolivo as a long-term replacement for retired midfielder Paul Scholes, after he failed to sign Inter Milan's Wesley Sneijder in the summer.
