David Moyes wants Lucas Silva from Sao Paulo.

Manchester United and Manchester City are set to fight it out for Sao Paulo defender Lucas Silva in the summer, according to the Daily Mail.

The defender can play at centre-back or on the right and has attracted interest from the likes of Juventus, Atletico Madrid and Real Madrid for a move this summer.

The 17-year-old is among the hottest prospects in Brazil currently and given the amount of interest from various clubs, he is unlikely to remain there for much longer.

The defender already has a lot of experience in the international arena. He captained Brazil in the U17 World Cup and made his way into the first team last November.

Both United and City are in the market for defenders. United are looking for players to replace their dependable defensive partnership of Nemanja Vidic and Rio Ferdinand who are both set to leave the club after the end of the season.

Meanwhile, with Joleon Lescott set to be sold, City are also looking for defenders. The England international has fallen out of favour with Manuel Pellegrini and does not feature in the Chilean's plans for next season.

Meanwhile, Ashley Young has praised his team's performance against Bayern Munich in the first leg of the quarter finals where they drew against the reigning European Champions 1-1.

The result gives them a chance to qualify to the next round with a win over Bayern at the Allianz Arena, something which looked unlikely a few days back.

"We've got to keep the momentum going. We want to take three points from the weekend into the second leg against Bayern and then see how things go," Young told MUTV.

"I can't wait to go there [to Munich], we've given ourselves a massive chance. We're in with a great shout, and as long as we add to the performance we gave at Old Trafford, hopefully we can go through. It was a great team performance," he added.
