Manchester United are seeking £11m from Arsenal for outcast winger Nani.

The Portuguese winger signed a new five-year contract last year but has failed to make an impression since agreeing to the deal.

It is believed United are willing to cut their losses on the 27-year-old, with Arsenal, Juventus and Inter Milan all reportedly showing interested.

The Gunners were thought to be at the front of the queue and had prepared a £9m bid for Nani but, according to Portuguese reports, United value the Champions League-winner at £11m and are holding out for a bid in that region.

Time appears to be running out for Nani at Old Trafford as manager Louis van Gaal looks to rebuild a team in the same mould as the Netherlands at the World Cup.

The Dutchman's preferred 3-5-2 formation means Nani faces stiff competition from Wayne Rooney, Juan Mata and Danny Welbeck for postions behind spearhead Robin Van Persie.

United signed Nani from Sporting Lisbon in 2007 for £18m. He has since made 146 appearances for the Old Trafford side, winning four Premier League titles, a single league cup and the Champions League once.

He has played in both of United's pre-season matches in America so far, against LA Galaxy and AS Roma.

United take on Inter on Wednesday in Washington before playing Real Madrid on 2 August in Michigan.

Meanwhile, America could host its first ever Manchester derby on 4 August.

United currently top their Group A of the International Champions Cup, while City top Group B. The top two from each group will play each other at Miami's Sun Life stadium, giving United or City the chance to strike a psychological blow against their neighbours, 4,000 miles away from Manchester.
