Budding Manchester United player Andreas Pereira is at the centre of a sex scandal after allegedly offering a student £10,000 for a threesome with him and Old Trafford teammate Paddy McNair.

Kelly McKinney claims the midfielder made the indecent proposal after meeting her at a Manchester nightclub in December 2014, where she partied with him and other players in the VIP section.

According to 19-year-old McKinney, Pereira tracked her down on Twitter after the team's Christmas party before they started exchanging messages on WhatsApp.

"I nearly fell off my chair when he offered me £10,000 for a threesome. What kind of low-life does that? I'm not that kind of person at all and found it very, very insulting," she told The Sun. "He's clearly desperate and struggling to find anyone that he doesn't have to pay for sex."

During one of the conversations Pereira, who made his Barclays Premier League debut on 15 March against Tottenham, is said to have invited her to his home to meet him and McNair. When she questioned his intentions, he allegedly revealed they would pay her for sex.

"Threesome. Will take care of u. U want? How much. Tell me. We were ready to pay 5 each," Pereira is said to have replied.

Although United manager Louis van Gaal has not commented on Pereira's alleged indiscretion, his agent Leo Scheinkman told the Daily Mail he had nothing to be ashamed of.

"He is young and single and can have sex with whoever he wants. What does he have to apologise for?" he said.

The allegations are likely to detract attention away from Pereira's impressive performance on the field.

"When you are 19 and already in the squad of Manchester United, then you must have a big talent otherwise you would not be in there," Van Gaal previously said. "I am very happy that I could give him his Premier League debut."
