Manchester United have signed 17-year-old Joshua Bohui from Brentford. The highly-rated youngster has joined the Old Trafford club ahead of the start of the new academy season and has been included in their 19-man squad for the Otten Cup.

Bohui been named in the squad alongside recent academy signing Tahith Chong and Tyrell Warren, who new United boss Jose Mourinho recently mentioned as a possible debutant in their friendly at Wigan, according to the Manchester Evening News.

Bohui signed a two-year deal with Brentford last season and was the top scorer for their academy. However, he has now decided to make the switch to United, who have undergone a recruitment drive foy young players this summer.

Brentford's academy director Ose Aibangee previously spoke in glowing terms about the new United signing. "Seeing a Brentford player in an England squad alongside players from Manchester City, Arsenal, Chelsea and Manchester United is a massive reward for the work being done throughout the academy," he said of the United player.

In addition to Bohui, United have also signed Irish right-back Lee O'Connor and American teenager Matthew Olosunde this summer, among others.
