Manchester United take on Fenerbahce in the Europa League clash at Old Trafford on 20 October, Thursday.

Where to watch live

Kick-off is at 8.05pm BST. Live coverage of the match is on BT Sport 2 and BT Sport 4K UHD.

Overview

United come into this fixture after a goalless draw against Liverpool in the league at Anfield on 17 October. The Merseyside club dominated the possession, but struggled to get past the Red Devils' defence.

When Jurgen Klopp's men managed to beat United's defenders, Liverpool found it difficult to get past David de Gea. The former Atletico Madrid goalkeeper made two world class saves and made sure United kept a clean sheet.

Jose Mourinho's side settled for a draw in the last two fixtures and that could be something the Portuguese tactician will be hoping to change when his side host the Turkish outfit in the Europa League clash on Thursday.

In the previous European fixture, Zlatan Ibrahimovic's goal was the difference as United sealed a 1-0 win over Zorya Luhansk. That was the Premier League club's first win at the competitions as the first match against Feyenoord ended in a 1-0 defeat.

Fenerbahce defeated the Dutch club in the previous Europa League fixture after the first match against Zorya ended in a 1-1 draw. The clash will see former United striker Robin van Persie return to Old Trafford for the first time since leaving the club last summer.

What managers say

Jose Mourinho: "I don't want to give you the team, honestly. Wayne is working well — he's one of the big responsible people for the atmosphere that the players can breathe because he's positive, he's a good example. We count on him to start or be on the bench, but he will be there tomorrow."

Dick Advocaat: "If you want to play for the championship you need more. And I don't just mean Van Persie, I mean the total team. I can only blame myself and the players."
