The ball breaks nicely for Carrick 25 yards out but his low effort is dragged wide of the post. United's final change sees Varela come off for Matteo Darmian.

United are level! Herrera brilliantly breaks down the inside right and clips a fine ball over to the far post. Martial wants it more than anyone else and hooks it back across into the back of the net.

Antonio is shown a yellow card for a dangerous two footed challenge on Schweinsteiger and is perhaps lucky to stay on the pitch.

Smalling controls a lofted ball brilliantly in the penalty area before laying it off to Schweinsteiger, but he hammers a wild effort over the bar.

From that corner, Payet sprints clear and initially beats Varela to the ball with just De Gea to beat but he is penalised for pulling back the full-back.

Blind's free kick is easily cleared and United have a corner. Fellaini and Rashford won';t be kept on for it, Schweinsteiger and Memphis are on with 15 minutes remaining.

Martial receives the ball with his back to goal but is fouled by Antonio. There is a couple of United changes about to happen after this free kick.

West Ham are ahead! Blind concedes a foul a good 30 yards out and Payet curls it beautifully into the top corner. Sublime free kick.

Payet brilliantly slips inside Fellaini and breaks into the box, with Rojo sliding across, trying to intercept. Payet goes down, was there contact? Nope, Rojo pulled out and the playmaker went down. Having already been booked, he should be off.

Another change for West Ham, Diafra Sakho is on for Emineke.

Reid's afternoon is over, Obiang is onto replace the centre half with half an hour of the match remaining.

Lingard cuts in from the right before sliding it into Rashford who flicks the ball brilliantly over Reid, but he forced just too wide to beat Randolph.

Martial cuts a neat ball back for Herrera from the left but the Spaniard's vicious effort is blocked by Reid. United scream for a handball, but Martin Atkinson isn't interested.

Kouyate is now shown a yellow card after a rough challenge on Lingard, who was threatening to break clear on the counter.

United have another free kick on the opposite side of the pitch but Herrera whips it straight into Randolph's arms.,

Blind flings the cross in and Martial gets his head to it, only to see his effort blocked.

Martial, back defending on the edge of his own box, does brilliantly to relieve the pressure on his team. He shifts the ball upfield and Lingard is freed down the inside right, only for Payet to clip his heels on the edge of the box. It's a booking for the West Ham playmaker and a United free kick.

Rashford does well to keep a move alive in the box before cutting a ball back to Fellaini, but Reid gets across to clear for a corner.

De Gea is called into action in the first minute of the second half, rushing off his line to bat Antonio's cross away from goal.

No changes from either side at the half way point.

And West Ham get us back underway for the second half.

HALF TIME: Manchester United 0-0 West Ham

Noble pings a fantastic pass out to Cresswell who smashes a cross into the box but De Gea springs out of goal to collect it.

Just one minute of time added on in this half.

A couple of minutes remain in the first-half of this game, still no breakthrough for either side,

Another poor decision from Martin Atkinson, Rashford shrugs Carroll of the ball with a fair shoulder charge but is penalised. The free kick causes a moment of panic in the United box with Varela forced into a hasty clearance but eventually catch a break when Cresswell is penalised for a foul.

Fellaini is shown a yellow card for clipping Noble but moments before that the West Ham midfielder left Marcus Rashford in a heap following a poor challenge from behind. He should have been booked for that.

Rashford is alive to a loose ball inside the box and thrashes one on goal, but Ogbonna gets across to block.

Rojo and Martial combine brilliantly down the left with the latter cutting a fine ball back for Herrera. But under pressure from Cresswell, the Spaniard fires a wild one well over the bar from just inside the box.

Carrick swings a hopeful ball over the top for Fellaini to chase onto but Randolph easily collects it. Poor ball from the midfielder.

Noble spreads the ball to Payet who finds the overlapping run of Cresswell once again. The full back flings a fine cross into the six yard area where Emineke has easily pulled away from Blind, but his header is a tame one, nodding straight into De Gea's arms.

Lingard turns nicely with his back to goal after getting the ball from Varela and takes the shot on from 20 yards out but drags his effort wide. It's been a bright start from the home side.

Martial tries to dance inside Antonio from the right but has to settle for a corner.

Herrera wins a throw in after his cross is deflected out but makes a right mess of the throw in and West Ham get the ball back. As mentioned earlier, Rojo and Blind swapped positions at kick-off; that has changed again in the last few moments, the Dutchman is now back at centre-half.

Decent chance for Emineke as Rojo rushing out of position, allowing the West Ham striker to break through down the inside right channel. Chris Smalling sprints over to put him under pressure and does just enough, with Emineke cutting his shot across goal and missing the target.

Payet does well under pressure to feed the ball out to the overlapping Cresswell who pings a cross into Caroll, but the striker smashes it over from 12 yards out.

Martial as been left in a heap following a late challenge from Reid. United get the advantage however and Rashford tries to take on Ogbonna but is easily shrugged off the ball by the centre-half.

Marcos Rojo has started the game playing at centre-half with Daley Blind moving out to left-back.

Juan Mata will serve his suspension this afternoon after he was shown a red in the defeat to West Brom. Jesse Lingard meanwhile is back in contention after missing the midweek defeat to Liverpool.

Wayne Rooney, Ashley Young and Luke Shaw remain on the sidelines for United but Antonio Valencia is in contention to make his first start since late October.
