Mariah Carey is not the one to shy away from flaunting her romance with new beau Bryan Tanaka. After packing on some major PDA in the recent past, Carey now has the paparazzi talking about her mysterious new diamond that she flaunted on her ring finger.

The 46-year-old singer fuelled engagement rumours once again when she was spotted wearing a new ring on an outing in the New York City. Accompanied by Tanaka, the backup dancer-turned-boyfriend, Carey appeared to be in high spirits as stepped out for some relaxed time on Friday.

Unlike her usual glamorous style, the All I Want For Christmas hitmaker opted for a much more comfortable look in a pair of tights and cosy windcheater to keep the cold winds at a bay during her night-out with Tanaka.

However, the singer did add a dash of festive colour to her simple ensemble by braving a bright red mini skirt despite the freezing temperature.

Tanaka on the other hand, complemented his love interest's style with all-black attire flaunting dark denims, jacket and a pair of beige sneakers.

Of-late, the new lovebirds have been frequently attending events together. At the screening of Carey's E! reality series, Mariah's World, the mother-of-three shared laughs and occasional glances with Tanaka, according to onlookers.

"Mariah's chemistry with Bryan was subtle, but undeniable. It is the way they communicate. They seem so happy in each other's' presence. They are on the same page... their laughing and the glances between them. You can see it in the photos," a source said adding, "It was interesting to see that Bryan was as big a presence in some ways as Mariah was. He is definitely a force in that camp."

Carey's blossoming romance with the 33-year-old dancer has been a swift rebound after her recent break-up with Australian businessman James Packer. After much to and fro Packer and the songstress finally called it quits on their relationship, saving Carey from the strict rules of an alleged pre-nuptial document.

"[Packer] is causing Mariah severe emotional distress especially at such an important time of her life. He knows she is the queen of the holiday season and she knows he's trying to ruin it for her," a source said at the time shedding light on the duo's conflict regarding the financial settlement after split.

Following all this drama, the We Belong Together singer finally seems to be moving on in life and she even thinks of 2016 as a "good year". "There were so many really good parts of 2016," she admitted.
