Mariah Carey has apparently confirmed her rumoured relationship with her back-up dancer Bryan Tanaka.

The 46-year-old was spotted frolicking with the 33-year-old dancer on the beach in Hawaii on Monday (28 November) and the pair were not shy about packing in the PDAs.

Wearing a plunging black swimsuit, the Dream Lover singer and her new boyfriend put on quite the display as Tanaka planted a kiss on her lips and then dipped the singer over his knee.

Carey jumped on his back before he carried her out of the sea. The new couple were also seen walking hand-in-hand along the beach.

Tanaka had joined the pop star at the Grand Wailea Resort in Maui after her concerts in Honolulu.

The pair have been the focus of speculation ever since the Without You star's very public split from her billionaire fiancé, James Packer. Carey and Packer announced their engagement in January after less than a year of dating, but Carey made headlines in October when the couple announced they were to call time on their relationship after a disagreement on a trip to Mykonos in Greece the previous month.

While her 'excessive spending' was said to be a factor in her broken engagement, her close relationship with Tanaka also reportedly caused tension with Packer.

Tanaka has been one of the longest serving dancers on Mariah's tour and they were said to share a special bond. Romance has since blossomed between the pair who were last week spotted dining together at Berri's on 3rd Street in Los Angeles.

Mail Online reports that Packer is rumoured to have been so jealous of Tanaka that he used his influence in the casino world to have him banned from Caesar's Palace, where Carey has a residency.

After an earlier appearance on The Ellen Show, when the pop star opened up about her split, Carey seems to be in a happier place. Posting a photo on her Twitter page, she wrote: Thank you @grandwailea for the amazing hospitality! Love you Hawaii, miss you already!

Carey was in Hawaii over Thanksgiving and spent the holiday with her ex-husband Nick Cannon and their five-year-old twins, Moroccan and Monroe.
