European stocks posted modest losses Wednesday in a session dominated by marco headlines and renewed currency volatility.

The Bank of England’s Quarterly Inflation report warned that CPI likely won’t return to the Bank’s preferred 2 percent target until at least 2016 – some 18 months longer than its last forecast in November and seven years since price last matched the BoE’s threshold in December of 2009.
