The popular sitcom Friends, which aired for 10 years, covered all the bizarre relationships among six reckless Manhattan adults. The comedy series was highly entertaining as the plots were quirky. However, there was a storyline that the producers had to shelve as Matthew Perry, who played the character Chandler Bing, hated the plot.

The 47-year-old actor revealed the same on the recent What Happens Live with Andy Cohen show.

"There was a storyline on Friends where Chandler went to a male strip joint because he really liked the sandwiches," Perry said. "I called up [the writers] and said, 'Let's not do this one'."

Perry also denied rumours that his Friends co-stars were friends with benefits in real life despite his fellow actors in the past had hinted at some behind-the-scenes relationships.

Host Cohen asked Perry whether some of his co-stars ever hooked up in real life as Lisa Kudrow last year had denied the rumours of a "no sex clause" among the cast members. David Schwimmer had also said, "Well that was broken".

"Who is Schwimmer referring to," Cohen asked, to which Matthew replied, "I don't know who he is referring to. I think there was no sex between any of them, or I was really missing something."

The series aired from 1994 to 2004. The main cast actors of the show were Matthew Perry, Lisa Kudrow, David Schwimmer, Courteney Cox, Matt LeBlanc and Jennifer Aniston.
