The UK will have its second May bank holiday weekend starting 28 May. While the first holiday fell on 2 May, the second one will be on 30 May. For all those who want to visit a supermarket to stock up supplies, we give the opening timings of Asda, Tesco, Sainsbury's and a few other retailers from 29 May and 30 May.

Tesco

29 May (Sunday): All stores will operate as per their regular Sunday opening times.

30 May (Monday): Most stores will open between 9am and 6pm in England and Wales, while select Tesco Express stores will operate under regular working hours. In Scotland, the Tesco Extra stores will work under regular hours while the Superstores will operate between 8am and 8pm and Metro stores between 9am and 6pm, according to Mirror.

Sainsbury's

29 May (Sunday): All stores will operate as per their regular Sunday opening times.

30 May (Monday): Leaving aside a few exceptions, most stores across the UK will be open between 9am and 7pm.
