Melanie Sykes has told fans she is "giddy" with excitement after getting engaged to her toyboy lover, Jack Cockings.
The 42-year-old TV presenter announced on Twitter that she would be marrying the 26-year-old roofer and fitness instructor following a four-month whirlwind romance.
Sykes began dating Cockings, 16 years her junior, after meeting him on Twitter.
She said: "To my beautiful twitter friends just want to let you know that me & Jack are engaged to be married and we are very giddy xxx."
This is not the first time one of Sykes' brief relationship has resulted in a marriage proposal.
The former model married Italian actor Daniel Caltagirone in January 2001, just three months after meeting him.
The couple, who have two children together, called time on their marriage in 2009.
Skyes recently made headlines when she posted a public string of sexually explicit tweets to Cockings.
In one she told him: "Jack the rabbit I need some bunny love so hop to it!! Xxx boing boing!!! Loooooool xxxxxxx".
The smitten star also posted pictures of the pair kissing and canoodling as well as naked snaps from photoshoots to her 35,000 followers.
She shot to fame 15 years ago as the face of Boddington's beer adverts.
Cockings was born in Dorset and runs his own roofing company.
