Overview

India suffered their first loss of the competition on 14 June (Monday) and come into this clash against South Korea knowing very well that they will need to win their last two games if they are to qualify for the finals.

The Men in Blue lost 2-1 to Belgium in their last game, in what was their first loss to their opponents in Champions Trophy history. India are currently placed third in the table with four points from three games and a win here will give them the confidence required going into the last leg of the tournament.

Their opponents South Korea come into this game on the back of a 4-1 thrashing at the hands of hosts Great Britain. Their defence failed to restrict the British attackers and it is something that they will need to improve on immediately if they are to beat India.

Like the Men in Blue, the Koreans will need to win both their remaining games if they are to have any hopes of qualifying for the final.
