The Mentalist season 7 is coming closer to its finale with only two episodes remaining and fans are waiting to see a happy ending that show creator Bruno Heller had promised.

The show may come a full circle by featuring a serial killer kidnapping Jane in two inter-connected episodes titled Brown Shag Carpet and White Orchids.

The final two episodes of the hit drama series will air on 18 February.

Also, there is buzz that Wayne Rigsby and Grace Van Pelt could make an appearance to say their final goodbyes to Jisbon when the show ends.

The police procedural series by CBS had left fans in shock when agent Michelle Vega was killed earlier.

The death of the Rookie agent made Patrick Jane think again about his psychic role with the police department, as he is not ready to deal with any more deaths and fears losing his love Teresa Lisbon.

In the previous episode, Jane asks Lisbon to leave the FBI so that they both could start life afresh. As the episode ended there, fans will be eager to know about the future of Jisbon.

Episode 11 of Mentalist season 7 was tiled 'Byzantium' and the official synopsis read:

A young man claiming to have psychic powers offers his help to the FBI in solving a pair of murders, but when he leads them to additional victims, Jane and the team begin to suspect that he is in fact the killer they're hunting.

The series currently follows a serial killer who is being tracked by Jane and his FBI team.

During investigation, they come across a man who claims to have physic powers and offers his help in solving the mystery surrounding the crime. It's only later that the team comes to know that their helper is the actual killer.

The finale of the popular series is rumoured to feature the wedding/engagement of Jane and Lisbon.

The Mentalist season 7 airs on Wednesday night on CBS.
