MetaQuotes Software Corp. has officially released a new version of its MetaTrader 5 Android mobile platform, which supports charts and offers an optimised interface for tablet computers running the Android OS.

The first version of the MetaTrader 5 Android was released in October 2011. It gave brokers the option to connect to their trading account, view the history of their trades and make transactions in the Forex market. The new version has added charts of financial instruments, which enables the user to visualise the price dynamics of financial instruments and facilitate analysis of quotes.

Another important innovation is the optimised interface of the application for use on tablet PCs powered by the Android OS. Now the MetaTrader 5 Android looks equally good on smartphones and tablet computers. Moreover, the application efficiently uses the high-resolution screen of tablet PCs to give traders even more opportunities for working with financial information.

"We consistently develop our mobile trading platforms," said Gaies Chreis, COO of MetaQuotes Software Corp. "For MetaTrader 5, we have developed trading platforms running on the most popular mobile operating systems used by most traders. Now they can trade from their favorite mobile devices, and it's all absolutely free."

MetaQuotes Software Corp. has high hopes for mobile trading platforms and believes they will play an important role in the development of trading in the next two to three years. That is why it stepped up the development of its mobile platforms last year.

Three brand-new mobile applications for MetaTrader4 and MetaTrader 5 have been released already. The company is working on a new MetaTrader 4 Android as well and soon will release it.

The MetaTrader 5 Android can be downloaded for free from the Android Market.
