Former Coronation Street star Michelle Keegan has been named FHM's sexiest woman in the world.

The 27-year-old actress, who is preparing to tie the knot with fiancé Mark Wright, beat the likes of reality star Kendall Jenner and Hollywood A-lister Jennifer Lawrence to win the 2015 crown.

Keegan, who entered the top 100 poll in 2010, has ascended to the summit of the list, having ranked fourth in 2013 and second in 2014. She took the accolade from Hunger Games star Lawrence, who has slipped to third place.

"Many congratulations to Michelle on her very worthy win. This year's 100 sexiest poll was more keenly contested than ever," FHM editor Joe Barnes said. "We had over a million votes, which was truly incredible. And for me, and the FHM team, it's great to see a hugely talented UK actress take the top spot."

In second place was Kendall Jenner, the model sister of Kim Kardashian. She entered the list in 2014 at number 31.

Hot on Lawrence's heels is Sports Illustrated's Kate Upton, who won over legions of fans thanks to that infamous video of her performing the Cat Daddy dance in a skimpy bikini.

Elsewhere in the list is Harry Styles's ex, Caroline Flack, at number five, while Wright's former girlfriend and Towie favourite Lucy Mecklenburgh maintains her spot at number eight. Game Of Thrones star Emilia Clarke jumps up two to places to nine.

Rounding off the top 10 is Kelly Brook, who was the winner in 2005. With 18 entries, she is the most featured Briton in the top 10.

Although Keegan has not commented on her win, her future husband took to Twitter to congratulate her.

"To all the fellas in the world I just want to say..... I'm sorry !!!! That beautiful creature is about to be my wife," he joked.
