Microsoft Surface Book
Microsoft Surface Book launch delays in the UK Microsoft

The wait for Microsoft's new Surface Book in the UK has got longer. The Book along with the Surface Pro 4 that went on sale in the US and Canada on 26 October, will not be available in the country until 2016.

According to Michael Gillett, Microsoft MVP, it was disclosed at the Future Decoded event in London that the Surface Book would be coming only after March or April next year. But the latest Surface Pro model is already on pre-order from the Microsoft Store starting at £749 for the 128GB model powered with Intel Core m3 paired with 4GB RAM. You can also trade in your older Surface or iPad and save up to £350.

Lumia 950 and 950 XL pre-orders

Meanwhile, Gillett said pre-orders for the Lumia Windows 10 flagship models – Lumia 950 and 950 XL - would go live sometime next week on the Microsoft Store.

Lumia 950 and XL preorders weren't meant to go live on the Microsoft Store when they did, hence they are no longer open

The pre-orders opened for the Lumia phones towards the end of October. The 5.2in Lumia 950 model carried a suggested retail price of £449.99 for a 32GB storage variant, whereas the large-screen 950 XL was priced at £529.99. However, if you head over to the product page at the Microsoft Store, the pre-order option is no longer available. Instead it says: "Email me when available." So you will have to wait until next week before the pre-orders open.
