Price and Release Date

Furthermore, its thinner (measures just 9.1mm) and lighter (weighs just 800 grams) profile makes the Surface tablet ultra portable. It will be available for purchase in 28 countries from 28 August starting at £639 ($799 incl.VAT).

Features

Coming back to the specifications, the new Surface Pro tablet features a 12in ClearType Full HD display with 2160 x 1440 pixels screen resolution and packs a powerful fourth generation Intel Core processor (available as i3, i5 or i7 variant).

The tablet will ship in four storage variants namely 64GB or 128GB with 4GB of RAM, and 256GB or 512GB storage with 8GB of RAM.

Surface Pro 3 will run Windows 8.1 Pro out of the box and include 5-megapixel rear camera along with a 5MP front camera for video calls.

The new Surface tablet will also feature a Surface Pen stylus with support for multi-touch input via its display.
