Singer/actress Miley Cyrus has reportedly split with Australian beau Liam Hemsworth.

According to multiple sources of Us Weekly, the Hollywood couple who met on the set of The Last Song in 2009 and got engaged in June 2012 have called it quits.

"They are definitely over," a source said.

This comes after reports emerged that the 23-year-old Hunger Games star was spotted cosying with Cyrus at a party at her L.A. home in early May.

"Miley is in denial - she still thinks that Liam is going to marry her, even though things have been so up and down," an insider told Hollywood Life, "She really doesn't want this to be over. It's really heartbreaking for everyone that loves her because Liam has been pretty awful. He gives her totally mixed signals! One day he's telling her it's over and the next night they're sleeping together - he's putting her through hell."

However, her parents Billy Ray Cyrus and Tish Cyrus are beside the Can't Be Tamed singer through the rough time.

"Her parents are trying to be supportive, no matter what she and Liam decide, but at this point they're totally sick of watching Liam hurt her. It's a toxic situation, but Miley just isn't ready to let go," another source added.

There were reports that the couple had called off their marriage after Cyrus was spotted without her engagement ring. But the former Disney star admitted that she is trying to stay out of the spotlight and is not interested to talk about her relationship status.

"We have a house together and dogs. It just seems right to be wearing this ring and to be committed. But we keep our relationship low-key and don't talk about it any more," the 20-year-old told to Elle UK magazine.
