A spokesperson for glamorous lingerie brand Victoria's Secret has dismissed rumours of a split between the company and Victoria's Secret Angel Miranda Kerr.

A report by US gossip magazine US Weekly reported the 29-year-old Australian supermodel's "difficult reputation" forced Victoria's Secret executives to end her $1m (roughly £650,000) three-year contract. She was also believed to have had disagreements with fellow Angels Alessandra Ambrosio, Adriana Lima and Candice Swanepoel.

In addition, the report also states Kerr, who is married to Pirates of the Caribbean star Orlando Bloom, with whom she has a son - two-year-old Flynn Christopher Bloom, is "not a big-seller for VS".

However, a report by Metro now quotes Ed Razek, the president and chief marketing officer of Victoria's Secret, as saying: "Miranda Kerr is one of the best models in the history of the business - and easily one of the most popular. She is also a consummate professional. Any rumours to the contrary are simply untrue."

"We have no plans to stop working with her. In fact, I've already invited her to walk the runway in this year's fashion show and, happily, she's agreed," Razek added, explaining, "While her international commitments have kept her away from us more than we'd like over the past few years, she will always be an Angel to me."

The Sydney-born Miranda Kerr has been associated with Victoria's Secret since 2007 and has been modelling since the age of 13. She was ranked fourth by Models.com in a list of the world's Top 20 Sexiest Models and was named in the 100 Hottest Women of All-Time by Men's Health magazine. She was also named Sexiest Woman Alive 2012 by Esquire UK.
