The 13th edition of the Miss Earth pageant is set to be held on 7 December at the Versailles Palace in Alabang, Muntinlupa City, Philippines.

Where to Watch Live

The ceremony will be broadcast live on Star World at 8 pm PHT (12 pm GMT). The pageant's official website will also be streaming the event live.

British actor/model, and award winning television host, Oli Pettigrew and American born, Singapore-based fashion model Linda Black will host the big night. There will also be a special performance by American singer/composer David Pomeranz. He is also ambassador for Operation Smile.

This year the host country, the Philippines, will be put under the spotlight, in the hopes of promoting their eco-tourism potential.

"The show will feature the most breathtaking eco-tourism places in the Philippines and will be our way of giving back to our country," executive vice-president Lorraine Schuck said.

The current title holder Tereza Fajksová from Czech Republic will crown one of the 88 contestants from around the world as this year's winner during the finale. The winner will also serve as the Ambassador for environmental protection campaigns worldwide, according to the official website.

Meanwhile, Miss India Sobhita Dhulipala has emerged as one of the strongest candidates to win the title. Dhulipala stood out from the other candidates and won Miss Eco Beauty title besides being declared the winner of the Miss Photogenic competition. She also made it to the the Top 15 of both the Talent and Resorts Wear competitions.
