Paul John Scott arrested after trying to slip in to Britain on light aircraft

A suspected drug smuggler wanted over a mammoth cocaine haul was arrested as he tried to slip in to Britain in a light aircraft.

Officers from National Crime Agency swooped as Paul John Scott, 32, landed at East Winch Airfield in Norfolk.

Scott is one of Britain's most wanted fugitives over his alleged involvement in a plot to import 40 tonnes of cocaine in to Britain, according to the NCA.

Police arrested the Liverpool-born Scott on 16 December and charged him the following day with conspiracy to supply cocaine.
