Motorola expands Android 5.0 Lollipop to two more Moto devices. The company has just confirmed rolling out of Android Lollipop for Moto Maxx with soak testing in Brazil and Mexico and for Moto E in Brazil and India.
Android Lollipop first comes to Moto E and Moto Maxx retail units. As usual the roll-out starts to smaller test groups, and if the results seem fine then Motorola will expand the software to more phones.
The company also states that Moto E users should have the latest version of Motorola Update Services from Play Store, for the upgrade.
If you are a Moto E user you get the Android 5.0.2 OTA update for the soak test right away using the download link for the soak test OTA zip uploaded by XDA member, prateektaneja. The update weighs in at 361MB and it bumps the Android Lollipop version to 5.0.2.
Head over to the installation guide if you want to install Android 5.0.2 soak test OTA firmware on your Moto E. But keep in mind that you will have to restore the Android device to stock non-rooted Moto E status before installing the OTA.
IBTimes UK will not be held liable for any damage to the device. Do not forget to make a backup of all important data of the phone, and that it should have above 80% battery change.
