Championship leader and Honda rider Marc Marquez was the fastest during the qualifying session at Sepang as the Spaniard takes pole for the Malaysian MotoGP Grand Prix on Sunday.

Qualifying Review

Marquez continued his impressive form of the season for Saturday's qualifying session at Sepang. The Spaniard clocked a time of 2:00.011 to beat second place Valentino Rossi for pole position. The Yamaha rider was 0.325s behind the championship leader.

Britain star Cal Crutchlow made it to the top three and was third. The Tech 3 rider, along with Marquez and Rossi will lock the front row of Sunday's race of the Malaysian Grand Prix. Defending champion and Yamaha rider Jorge Lorenzo failed once again in Sepang as the Spaniard will start the race from fourth place.

Marquez's Honda teammate and compatriot Dani Pedrosa was fifth while Tech 3 rider Bradley Smith managed to finish in top ten. He will start the weekend's race from seventh spot.
