Honda rider and defending champions Marc Marquez will start the race of the 2014 Argentina Grand Prix as the Spaniard sealed his third pole of the season at the Autodromo Termas de Rio Hondo.

Qualifying Review

Marquez dominated on Saturday's qualifying as he was the fastest in the final session of the day, clocking a time of 1:37.683s. He is looking for his third win of the season success in the first two races. The 21-year-old is determined to retain his title of being the world champion title.

After failing to impress on Friday, Yamaha rider Jorge Lorenzo was behind Marquez in the qualifying – in the second spot. He was 0.742s behind his compatriot for pole position. Pedrosa, Marquez's Honda teammate was third.

Forward's Aleix Espargaro will start the Sunday's race at the Autodromo Termas de Rio Hondo from fourth place. Meanwhile, Yamaha rider Valentino Rossi was sixth with a time of 1:38.949s.

Tech 3 rider Bradley Smith was seventh while his compatriot and Britain star Cal Crutchlow continued his struggle with his new team Ducati. He failed to finish in top 10.
