Yamaha rider Valentino Rossi will take pole for the 2014 Valencia Grand Prix as he finished qualifying on top at the Circuito de la Comunitat Valenciana on Saturday.

Qualifying Review

Rossi was the fastest during the qualifying at the Circuito de la Comunitat Valenciana as the Italian rider clocked a time of 1:30.843s to clinch pole for Sunday's race. Pramac rider Andrea Iannone was second and he was 0.132s behind the Yamaha star rider.

Honda rider Dani Pedrosa was third and the Spaniard, along with Rossi and Iannone will lock horn for the front row on Sunday. Jorge Lorenzo clocked a time of 1:31.049s and will start from fourth place.

With Lorenzo starting from fourth spot, Rossi has a very good chance of finishing the season in second spot if he manages to maintain his position throughput the race. World champion Marc Marquez, who had an impressive Free Practice 1 and Free Practice 2 will start from the fifth place.
