Honda rider Marc Marquez took pole for the 2015 French Grand Prix as the defending champion will start the Sunday's race at Le Mans from the front.

Qualifying Preview

Marquez struggled on Friday and the Spaniard bounced back during the qualifying session. He was the fastest rider and clocked a time of 1:32.246s in order to clinch a pole position for the weekend's race.

Ducati rider Andrea Dovizioso was 0.503s behind Marquez and will start the race from second spot. Spanish Grand Prix winner and Yamaha rider Jorge Lorenzo is third. He, along with Dovizioso and Marquez will lock horns for the front row.

Bradley Smith finished Friday's practice session on top and the Tech 3 rider will start Sunday's race from sixth spot after clocking a time of 1:33.299s. Yamaha rider Valentino Rossi was eight, while Honda's Dani Pedrosa was in eight spot.
