Rider's championship review

The Mugello circuit is one of the favourite among riders and has seen Andre Iannone clock a mind-boggling 350.8km/hour in 2015. Jorge Lorenzo is the defending champion and is on top of the leader board with 90 points, while Valentino Rossi has not stood at the top of the podium since 2008.

Only 12 points separate the top three and it will be interesting to see whether Spanish riders continue to exert their dominance on a track where Rossi once ruled.
