Marc Marquez
Jorge was strong and I was riding over the limit. When Dani pulled up I was struggling a lot in the last laps. I was saving an attack for the last 2 laps but when Dani overtake me I lose time. I tried in the last corner, there was no grip and I nearly lose the front. It wasn't the best end to the season but next year we will try to be stronger.
Dani Pedrosa:
"I lose time at the beginning. I tried to get closer in the middle of the race but I couldn't match the correct rhythm. Then I decide to save the tyre and go at the end. I knew I had some extra and I was pushing, enjoying a lot. I tried the pass but ran wide but in the end I made a mistake with the gears in one corner. I'm happy anyway, I finished 4th overall after all the problems I've had this year. I'm happy."

Jorge Lorenzo
"I will try to be myself, try to be Jorge on the bike, every corner, every lap, and not more or not less. I will try and it's not sure that it's going to be like that, but I will try to be myself – the same as I did this year: we had different results at every race, but I always tried to be myself on the bike and ride at my best.
"I don't think it's good thing to have too many things on my mind. We have some hours to plan the strategy for tomorrow, maybe even tomorrow after the warm-up. I think especially in the first laps it is important to have a clear mind and to just do your race and try to have a good pace.
"I think from the middle of the race this information [Rossi's progress in the race] can be good to know, but I think the race plan is to try to be as fast as possible and try to finish as strong as possible."
Valentino Rossi
"I'm OK, this is the most important thing. The day was not so bad, especially in the morning I was strong, but in the afternoon I suffered a bit more with the grip and I struggled a little bit more with a higher temperature. After, in qualifying, we didn't have the pressure to try to set the best lap so we tried something else.
"Some modifications I didn't like so I came back in and on my last lap it wasn't so bad, my first sections were quite fast, but unfortunately after that I made a mistake and I crashed, but this doesn't make a big difference for tomorrow because I will start last. We have to improve the grip to improve the race pace.
"If it's cool, lower degrees can change a lot of things about the grip in comparison between a Yamaha and a competing bike. Maybe, if the temperature is a little bit less, I can go a bit faster. It will be very hard, the bad news for the race is that Jorge rode to pole position, because we hoped he wouldn't start first, but fortunately we don't have to think about that, it's not our problem, I just have to recover as much as possible."
Valentino Rossi collided with defending champion and Honda rider Marc Marquez at Sepang during the 2015 Malaysian Grand Prix. The incident was reviewed and Race Direction charged the Yamaha rider, which will see him start the Valencia Grand Prix from the back of the grid.
Rossi had appealed for a "stay of execution on the penalty," which was turned down by the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS).
