Rossi is still leading the championship Leaderboard with 312 points with one race to go. His Yamaha teammate Lorenzo is in second spot with seven points behind him. The Italian rider will start the final race from the last spot after he was handed three penalty points for colliding with Marquez.

The nine-time world champion has to finish second if Lorenzo manages to win the race in order to become the champions this season. It will be difficult for Rossi to challenge Lorenzo, especially when he is forced to start the race from the last spot on Sunday.
