The pricing for Motorola's Android Wear powered wearable device has been revealed for UK users.

During its launch, Motorola mentioned that the Moto 360 featuring an iconic design will be available globally in summer this year starting from the US, but failed to provide details on pricing. Now MobileFun, a renowned online retailer, in a blog post, confirmed that the Moto 360 will cost £199. The retailer is yet to announce pre-orders for the smartwatch.

This goes well with a previous report according to which the Moto 360 will be released in early July with a retail price of €249 (£199).

Apart from the pricing, MobileFun failed to note the availability of the smartwatch for UK users.

As its major rival, the LG G Watch will be released in the UK on 7 July with a retail price that is lower than Samsung Gear 2, which costs £169.99. The Moto 360 will be shown off at Google's upcoming I/O 2014 event. LG G Watch, a reference device for Android Wear, will be given away to those who attend the I/O event.

In terms of features, Moto 360 has been rumoured to use magnetic induction wireless charging. It will use an OLED display panel with sapphire glass covering for protection against scratches. Besides, Motorola is planning to bring some of the Moto X technologies to the smartwatch.
